This privacy policy describes how the PDF Tab Thumbnails Chrome extension handles your data.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing in connection with this extension within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is: Vincent Wälken Email: support@smartappsdigital.de
2. General
This privacy policy applies worldwide to all users of the extension. PDF Tab Thumbnails processes exclusively data that remains local within your browser. 3.1 Local Extension Data (in your browser)
The extension processes the following information exclusively within your browser: – the visual content of the first page of PDFs you open (to generate a thumbnail favicon) – cached favicon images stored in local browser storage This data is used only to provide you with the extension's features (generating unique favicons for PDF tabs). This data does not leave your browser.
3.2 No Creation of User Profiles
No personal profiles are created. The extension uses neither registration nor a login system. It is not possible for the developer to link any data to a specific person.
4. Permissions & Browser Access
The extension requires certain browser permissions to function. These permissions are used exclusively for the stated purposes.
4.1 Tab Access
The extension accesses open tabs to detect PDF documents and replace their default favicon with a generated thumbnail. No tab content or browsing history is recorded or transmitted.
4.2 Local Storage
The extension uses local browser storage to cache generated favicons for faster loading on subsequent visits. No data is transmitted to any server.
5. No Disclosure to Third Parties
No data is disclosed to third parties. In particular: – no use of advertising networks – no integration of analytics or tracking services – no disclosure to other companies or organisations
6. Legal Basis for Processing
